The energy of the Winter holidays is done, leaving many worn down and feeling depleted.  We’re still in the cold, stormy season for several more weeks.  And, nature is telling us this is the time for rest, recuperation and gathering strength for the more energetic seasons to come as the light increases.  For many, this is a hard time of year for assorted reasons.  The low energy lends to contemplation, remembering , re-evaluating. . . some are grieving a loss . . . some are dreaming of change . . . some are setting goals . . . some are looking for a restart or a new adventure. This is a time for self-care.  A time to acknowledge and feel the feelings.  Do what you need to take care of yourself. Reflect on, and reconnect with, what makes you happy.  Slow down.  Winter is healing time.  And, nature and animals are great therapy.

The goal of this 2-Hour workshop is to create an ambient piece to remind and encourage you to slow down, be present, and see beauty and peace around you in spite of ( maybe because of) the temperatures and weather.  We will be creating a circle of light to illuminate a vision of your choosing:  nature’s serene beauty, spirituality, a memorial if you like, an inspiring message/affirmation/mantra, a playful inner child, a goal or dream for the year ahead (think vision board), or whatever will benefit you in the quiet moments of the weeks ahead.

We will supply the rings, tray base, battery operated lights, moss, lichens, branches, dried flowers and foliage, nuts, cones, shiny balls, bead strings, some small candle holders, and other thrifted ornamental items you can choose from.  But we also encourage you to bring any specific item(s) you’d like to incorporate to personalize your piece:  a framed photo, a memorial item, a plate with a scene special to you, an inspirational sign or words, a figurine (animals/ birds/ gnomes/ spiritual representation/ woodland cabin/ birdhouse/ farmhouse/ sled/ ski/skates/ boat/ boat/ truck. . . ),  a treasured ornament or trinket, something to represent a plan, goal, or dream for this year . . .  Anything that holds meaning for you. Perhaps, slowing down and reflecting on your piece regularly will help to illuminate your next steps forward in the coming months. Register today!
